GF News Release - B.C. Shippers Supply
Following the acquisition of Specialty Container Inc.'s shipping supply and stock box business in July, General Fasteners Ltd. is pleased to announce the acquisition of the same business units of BC Shippers Supplies in British Columbia. This transaction became effective as of close of business on Friday, August 8, 2008.
Like Specialty Containers, BCSS is primarily a manufacturer of high-quality, efficient and imaginative corrugated products and also provided their customers with a full line of packaging supplies. As with Specialty, GF has acquired that packaging supply business.
The acquisition of BCSS further consolidates GF Packaging's position as the leading supplier of industrial packaging, warehousing and fastening products in Western Canada. The newly combined company will provide customers with expanded business solutions, a vast product offering, and access to over forty years of industry experience.
At GF we are committed to maintaining exemplary levels of service to both existing and new customers as we work through the many details of combining the two companies.
